They say all roads lead to home, but for us, the road to "forever" ran through a shoe show in Atlanta. While the city hummed with energy around us, a chance meeting with a future sister-in-law changed everything. When she introduced her brother, Noel, the connection was instant—a spark that bridged the distance between The Bahamas and Tortola.Our first year was a whirlwind of boarding passes and "can’t wait to see you" texts, navigating a long-distance romance that only grew stronger with every mile traveled. Between the vibrant streets of Atlanta and the turquoise waters of the islands, we realized we didn’t want to spend another season apart. On New Year’s Eve, amidst the magic of a fresh start, Noel asked the biggest question of our lives. We’re trading in the long-distance flights for a lifetime journey together.

Sally is the ultimate definition of a lifelong sister—quiet, firm, and steady as a rock through every season of life. Born on the 4th of July, she brings her own quiet fireworks of loyalty, care, and unwavering strength to everyone blessed enough to cross her path. Having been in my life longer than anyone else, she holds a sacred place in my heart. She has walked beside me through every high and low, witnessing every milestone, transition, and chapter of my journey—which also means she knows every single secret (and exactly where all the bones are buried!).

What I cherish most deeply about Sally is her remarkable grace and sense of security. She never demands or clings; instead, she always gives me the room to grow, evolve, and navigate different friendship circles, remaining completely unshakeable and confident in the knowledge that our love and bond are absolutely unbreakable. In a world that is always changing, Sally is my ultimate vault, my anchor, and my truest, most trusted confidante. She is the calm in every storm and the friend who loves without condition or reservation. I couldn’t imagine standing at the altar or walking into this next chapter with anyone else as my Maid of Honor!

Ellen is a true woman of elegance, grace, and unmatched style—a fashionista at heart who can tie the perfect bow, wrap a scarf a dozen ways, and always knows how to straighten your crown before you step out onto the runway. But beyond her flawless eye for detail, Ellen is so much more than my Matron of Honor; she is family, a big sister, and the ultimate "mother hen" to us all. Our family roots run deep, back to when my sister was married to her brother, cementing a bond that has only grown stronger through every season of life.

In so many ways, Ellen carries the spirit, warmth, and memory of my mother, who once walked alongside her through the trenches of Broadway in New York to help build Ellen's renowned hat business. Before my mom passed, she asked Ellen to please watch over her "Erica"—and Ellen embraced that sacred assignment with her whole heart. Through her fiercely protective love, her wise counsel, and her powerful, unwavering prayers and petitions on behalf of my son and me, she has truly been our safe ark through every storm.

Whether she’s fixing every little detail behind the scenes, lifting us in prayer, or offering big-sister love when it's needed most, I could not ask for a better person to stand by my side. Having my prayer warrior, style icon, and sister as my Matron of Honor is a true blessing straight from God, and my special day wouldn't be complete without her!

They say you meet the most important people in your life when you least expect it. I first saw Marcel at a shoe show in Atlanta, and let me tell you—she owned the room. I remember thinking, “Look at this woman! She is a total bad b*h!” Her confidence and "boss" energy were magnetic, and we became fast friends over our shared obsession with fashion and footwear. 

She eventually introduced me to her brother, Noel, and when he decided that I was the ONE for him, she was the first one to give her heartfelt blessing. That one introduction changed our lives forever.  I’m so blessed to be gaining a sister who is as fabulous and fun as she is fierce

Vickia isn't just my cousin; she is my heart! She often calls me her "She-ro," but the truth is, her strength and vibrant spirit inspire me every single day. Vickia is the kind of person who lights up every room she enters with her bubbly personality and genuine soul. Having her stand by my side as I marry Noel means the world to me—our family wouldn't be the same without her energy, and I know she’ll be the first one to lead the charge in welcoming Noel into the fold!

Marsha and I bonded not only as cousins, but as true friends. Our bond grew during my stays at Ms. Tia's house, when I would go to keep Marsha's company so she wouldn't be lonely.

As teenagers, something was printed on my mind and my heart when Marsha told me that if anything ever happened to her, I had to become the mother of her children. That spoke volumes about the trust she had in me as a person of stability.

I became her confidante, which truly meant everything. Thank you, my cousin, my friend, and my sister from another mother.

The love Marsha gave molded and shaped our lives from childhood through my transition into motherhood. Thank you for our endless telephone conversations, for sharing laughter over life's events, for talking through family matters, and for always checking on me—especially for your moral support when I lost both of my parents.

Though the directions of our lives in 'As the World Turns' took two different paths, thank you, Marsha, for making Noel feel like he is becoming a part of the royal family—the rich heritage of the Hanna and Grant clan.

With that strength and support, Noel knows that in taking me as his wife, he can expect nothing less than a wife like Noah's: a wife who got into the ark and trusted her husband without question, because her husband trusted God.

Deana and I first connected back in high school as two strong-willed, unapologetic girls who quickly realized we were far stronger together than apart. All these years later, we remain completely unstoppable and inseparable. Our bond grew even deeper when we became roommates in Canada—spending our days navigating life together and our free time traveling, laughing, and having the absolute best time exploring the different provinces. Our families merged instantly, making us true sisters in every sense of the word.

Deana is the definition of "show up and show out." She never misses a milestone, no matter the distance—from flying all the way to be there when my son Metrios was born, to bringing our journey full circle right back home to Nassau, Bahamas. On the outside, she is fierce, brilliant, and incredibly knowledgeable, but anyone who truly knows her knows she has a heart of absolute gold. She gives the best, most grounded advice and brings a true "ride-or-die" loyalty to my life. I am so deeply blessed to have my sister standing by my side as I take this next big step!

From the very first day we connected through church, Nikki and I formed a bond that quickly grew into an unbreakable sisterhood. Nikki is a strong, beautiful woman of God who carries herself with grace, elegance, and unmatched style in everything she does. She is the friend I can call at any hour of the day or night—my safe space, my late-night prayer warrior, and my constant source of encouragement.

Our friendship is filled with so many cherished moments, from our shared love of beautiful decor and candle surprises to the way our families have completely merged into one. I adore her children, who lovingly call me "Auntie Erica," just as she has embraced my son with open arms. When it comes to true loyalty, devotion, and steadfast support, it has always been "Nikki or nothing" for me. More than just a close friend, Miriam is truly like family to me. Our journey began in Nassau through my shoe business, Steppin’ Out, where her shared passion and creative eye for fashion transformed my store and product layouts into something special. Beyond her incredible artistic talent, Miriam is remarkably organized, energetic, and completely dependable. She is a natural people person who thrives on staying busy and genuinely loves making guests feel welcomed and cared for. Having her warmth, vibrant energy, and steadfast loyalty by my side as part of my wedding party means the world to me.

Every so often, life brings someone into your world who quietly earns a permanent place in your heart like no other. For me, that’s exactly what happened between my bonus sister Kijanna and me. 'Dee Dee,' as we affectionately call her, has been a part of my life for over 28 years—from being my VP in Pilot Club to Demetri giving her all the popcorn, her favorite snack! Dee Dee is beautiful, loving, hilarious, and so dependable—you can rest assured her word is her bond. She carries herself with grace and confidence, and her sharp, well-dressed appearance reflects her self-respect and attention to detail. Detail is one of the things I love most about her!

I truly realized how special our bond was when Dee Dee presented her bouquet to me on her own wedding day. For years, we would always joke that when I got married, she would be my petal dropper! I will always treasure those sweet memories and jokes; they remind me of the deep love, laughter, and sisterhood we share.
